Self-hosted, in your cloud, or hosted by us. This page is the longer version of that sentence, written for the person running the vendor review.
Mari is open-source software, Apache 2.0. You can run it yourself, have us run it inside your cloud, or have us host it. Whichever you pick, the rule is the same: your product knowledge lives where you decided it should, and the deployment shape, retention, and data handling are written down before anything syncs.
A Docker Compose stack with Postgres and pgvector on infrastructure you control. Local models through ollama are optional, and every feature has a deterministic fallback without them. Nothing about your product knowledge leaves your network unless you send it, and we never see it.
On the enterprise plan, we deploy, run, upgrade, and maintain Mari inside your VPC. Data and access stay in your account, and you can see and revoke what we can reach. Retention and data handling are set out in the MSA and DPA we sign together.
Also on the enterprise plan: we operate the deployment in an environment we run, and your team signs in. Your sources, embeddings, and answers live in that environment under the same MSA and DPA, which name where it runs, who can reach it, and how long anything is kept.
Connectors read with tokens you create and can revoke, scoped to what you choose to share. Sources stay where they are: Mari syncs, it doesn't migrate. That holds for all three deployment shapes.
Each fact on the record carries its owner, sign-off state, and freshness. Answers cite their sources, and agent actions land in an audit trail, so who-did-what has receipts.
A custom MSA, DPA, and a security review with your team are part of the enterprise plan, not an upsell on top of it.
The marketing site is static. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no ad pixels. The one thing it stores is your light-or-dark theme choice, in your own browser.
